Position Summary

The Engineering Manager is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of BOA’s DSP product line, including the adherence to company-wide unified software development practices. These responsibilities require the Engineering Manager to build and lead a cross-functional and highly geographically distributed team of developers.

This position is an integral component of the Company’s efforts to deliver enterprise-class software and maintain a professional software engineering organization. The Engineering Manager will report directly to the VP of Engineering.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Experience in software engineering management and leadership
  • Believes in continuous delivery and full integration of the lifecycle
  • Manage and mentor a team of developers to deliver against solution development goals
  • Bootstrap and manage a team of developers (BackOffice employees) in India
  • Establish and refine agile development techniques improving on-time delivery of high-quality solutions
  • Provide information to customers to help them in their purchasing decisions for Company products and services
  • Work with Solutions Delivery, Customer Success, Product Management, Product Marketing and Sales to ensure BOA solutions will meet the needs of our customers and drive overall revenue growth
  • We are a highly distributed team that embraces a “remote-first” model even if you are at an office
  • We are agile not Agile™, no ties to a prescribed process here, we keep it lean and adapt continuously

 

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience; including 5+ in a leadership role within software development
  • Prior experience in the data integration, quality, or governance marketplace preferred; SAP experience a major plus
  • Prior experience in a software development company managing the development of complex software products
  • Proven success in building, motivating, and retaining teams of star players
  • A track record of successful delivery as a leader
  • Demonstrated business professional acumen with a results oriented, can-do attitude
  • Software development background, Software product development a plus
  • SQL Knowledge, major plus
  • Strong, earnest, and proactive communication skills: video, chat, and conferencing
  • Offshore enablement and engagement ready
  • Ability to work with developers of varied experience and backgrounds
  • Ability to travel worldwide: 15%
