IT Security Administrator – US – Hyannis, MA

Position Summary

The IT Security Administrator will be responsible for maintaining security over a number of applications across the company. He/she will manage and support user needs, as well as develop and maintain a security policy that suits a growing business.

The person in this role is expected to provide solutions to business problems through the successful implementation of secure technology in support of business objectives. In providing these solutions, this position ensures that all internal applications comply with applicable information security and privacy regulations and best practices. As a member of the Corporate IT team, enterprise wide technical support is also required as needed.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the technical security of all in house applications
  • Develop and maintain a policy for secure access to multiple applications including MS Dynamics GP, Salesforce, CranSoft and Ascentis
  • Support existing staff members with security access requests and ensure that all security policy steps are followed
  • Perform web application vulnerability scans, provide recommendations and present findings
  • Create documentation to guide information security protocol
  • Deploy cross company system and application updates
  • Monitor traffic and access logs in order to construct additional policies and verify compliance
  • Ensure that proper security controls are identified, implemented, and tested
  • Participate in an Incident Response Team as necessary
  • Assist with data destruction and secure disposal of hardware as needed
  • As a member of the Corporate IT team, other responsibilities include:
    • BOAUnited support
    • Assist in the creation or maintenance of reports for various systems

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience supporting applications such as SFDC, GreatPlains and HRIS platforms
  • Experience with Crystal Reports and MS SQL preferred
  • Experience of managing network and security devices from multiple vendors
  • Experience implementing single sign on, a plus
  • Candidate must have an understanding of common vulnerabilities associated with operating systems and applications
  • Good listener with a proven ability to gather requirements and work with people at all levels
  • Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
