Quality Engineer – Italy – Verona

Position Summary

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for working with the Quality Engineer team to provide quality engineering for our Quadrate product. The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and executing manual and automated tests to ensure product quality. In this role, the candidate will work alongside developers to reproduce problems, so that developers can debug them and define corrective fixes.

This position also plays an important part in our product development process. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs. Additionally, this individual will be required to acquire, maintain, and grow product knowledge through development ticketing systems and best practices documentation.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review existing test cases as well as create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Design, develop, and execute basic automated testing for some modules of the product
  • Collaborate with developers to identify bugs, issues, and defects
  • Provide detailed and timely results of regression testing to developers
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Stay up-to-date with new test strategies and testing tools

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field or commensurate technical experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in quality engineering, software development or related technical field
  • Proven work experience in testing desktop applications
  • Knowledge of SQL, scripting and preferably SAP
  • Working experience of software QA methodologies and processes
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Hands on experience with Scrum/Agile (JIRA)
  • Some work experience in software development
  • Highly organized and process driven
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal/ written)
  • Self- directed and motivated
  • Collaborative / Team player
