Position Summary

The Enterprise Solution Architect is responsible for assisting the solution (services and software) sales cycle for BackOffice’s offerings to our customers. Solution Architects (SA) are among the first to established to the culture of BackOffice Associates to our customers and partners. As an ambassador to the company, interaction with our prospective customers requires consistent engagement, professional work ethic and an enthusiastic approach to solving business problems. Working under the direction of the Lead Enterprise Solution Architect, the SA team will provide architecture expertise to the sales and services organizations with the goal of increasing revenue and customer satisfaction.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide cutting edge solution architecture engaging with both internal sales team and customers
  • Perform as a trusted advisor representing BackOffice Associate’s solutions and processes
  • Engage with stake holders in understanding business requirements, current solution landscape in order to propose reliable and sustainable architectures and roadmaps
  • Create end to end content for compelling solution frameworks including the solution landscape, integration touch-points and to showcase the business benefits of our solutions for identified customers
  • Provide support to Sales Operations in the RFP process working with account teams to develop value-propositions, package roadmaps, architectures and services/support offerings to land a winning deal
  • Create business best practices, process flows, templates, enablement sessions, demos and proof of concepts as needed for internal sales support and for customers
  • Gather requirements, case studies, documentation, and expressed objectives to identify the customer’s business and solution goals and processes
  • Work closely with internal sales team and client account executives and/or external contacts, at the client site, such as business stakeholders, management, or strategic partners
  • Determine project scope and resource plans to develop a solution which is a combination of products and services that best meets the client requirements
  • Establish an open dialog to keep the client informed of the progression of any issues that may arise during the solution process and any adjustments needed during the course of planning
  • Ensure promptness in responding to questions, queries, or feedback from customers, internal or partner stakeholders
  • Interface with BackOffice’s product development, legal, global resource management, and training teams to provide feedback, support, and product suggestions
  • Monitor and identify trends spanning our clients’ needs to develop new solution combinations of product, services and training offerings

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ yrs experience in professional services organization
  • 3+ yrs experience with BackOffice’s tools and solution sets
  • Certified and/or very experienced in both BackOffice and SAP solution areas with experience participating in at least 3 end-to end projects
  • Proven ability to provide leading-edge solution architectures working with consulting, sales and partners
  • Adept at handling project communications, C-level interactions and engaging with all stake-holders to manage expectations and propose value-based offerings
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills to execute high value technical demonstrations
  • Knowledge of business models, operating models, cost-benefit analysis and risk management
  • Exposure to and understanding of existing, new and emerging technologies
  • Exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
  • Strong leadership planning and organizational skills
  • Superior customer service skills, preferably demonstrated by experience working directly with customers
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and pick up new skills quickly
  • Self-starter with the ability to self-motivate in fast paced environments
  • Strong drive for achieving results under pressure
  • Ability to accommodate position requirements of 50% travel
