Position Summary

We are looking for an intuitive, inquisitive and creative Field Marketing Manager with a flair for writing, knack for organisation, and interest in human psychology, to make a big contribution to a small marketing team promoting market-leading data software and services. This role will also be crucial to the successful growth of SAP S/4HANA projects in the region.

The ideal candidate first and foremost must understand people and take an interest in the psychology involved in marketing, be passionate and proactive, and have demonstrable excellent organisation skills to deal with all digital and print campaign fulfilment and event organisation in the DACH and Eastern European region.

The BOA Field Marketing Manager provides support to the Central European Marketing team and to the region’s account teams, assisting to drive services and software pipeline from European-wide campaigns and bespoke local efforts.

This role includes project and budgetary oversight that aligns with the growth objectives for the region. The successful candidate will report directly to the EUAF Marketing Manager.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Write and execute region-wide email (through Marketo), social media, and pay per click campaigns
  • Project manage all events in region inclusive of BackOffice’s own events, channel partner expos and industry exhibitions
  • Manage DACH and Eastern Europe’s regional budget
  • Execute bespoke local campaigns working alongside account teams and business development representatives
  • Support internal communications activities
  • Create and execute engagement strategies with BackOffice’s channel partners
  • Report activities, successes and challenges back to EUAF Marketing Manager
  • Manage individual projects as allocated by EUAF Marketing Manager



  • University Degree in, German, Marketing or Psychology would be an advantage
  • Minimum 4-5 years of B2B technology marketing experience either in-house or agency-side in DACH
  • Understanding of the SAP eco-system
  • Marketing automation experience
  • Understanding of how purchase decisions are made in B2B technology at a senior level
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Google AdWords experience
  • Social Media Marketing Experience (LinkedIn and Xing)
  • Native German Speaker (with Fluent English as well)
  • Friendly communicator and fantastic relationship builder
  • Intuitive, inquisitive and creative mindset
  • Passion for human psychology
  • Excellent organisational skills
