Position Summary

BackOffice Associates is currently looking for a winter/summer intern to support our Finance and Accounting Department. The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the accounting and finance functions to include theory and practical application of attained knowledge. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
  • Learn how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients
  • Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations
  • Shadow and support members of the accounting and finance department in their duties
  • Work with accounting/ finance software to complete assigned tasks



  • Currently a senior in a BS program, majoring in Business, Finance and/or Accounting
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with above average proficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team-based environment
  • A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability and enthusiasm
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality as it relates to company, employee and general data
  • Attention to detail – reporting done will be distributed broadly and accuracy is a must
  • Flexibility – will be supporting both Accounting and Finance, prioritization and time management will be key to success in this role
  • Demonstrate a willingness to receive coaching and quickly apply lessons learned
  • Candidate must be local to the Hyannis office and able to maintain a M-F schedule in office
  • Candidate must be able to attend both the winter and summer sessions to be eligible for the position
