Position Summary

Want to help build a next-generation Information Governance platform that leverages all the advantages of SaaS and the latest ML and NLP research? BackOffice Associates is looking for talented Software Engineers that bring experience in NLP, Analytics, and Cloud systems.

  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, R and at least one object oriented programming language (Java, Scala, C++, etc.)
  • Experience with general machine learning tools to build models and analyze data (e.g. in R, Python, Matlab) and deep learning tools (e.g. TensorFlow, Keras) required
  • Experience in applying and implementing NLP algorithms, especially in the following areas: information extraction, topic modelling, semantics analysis, question answering
  • Experience with SQL and Spark or other distributed compute platforms
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: entity/relation extraction, normalization, text summarization, semantic search, word/paragraph/document embedding, ranking, ontology-aware IR, question answering systems
  • Experience and/or motivation to work on modern deep learning approaches to NLP: word/paragraph embedding, representation learning, text/sentiment classification, ambiguity disambiguation
